This issue remains unresolved, and we cannot allow authoritarianism to prevail.
We must not let a minor, easily addressable issue, fixable through existing laws and law enforcement, be used as an excuse to strip away the joy of thousands who create cherished memories with permitted fireworks for just five days a year. We cannot allow Mayor @carolynhparrish to cite misleading data to justify her proposed ban, which she continues to push. This does not reflect the will of the people or the council’s priorities. Delaying the vote for the fourth time to October 15 signals an agenda-driven focus rather than a genuine one.
@carolynhparrish, you rely on unverified, bot-driven data to support your stance, while ignoring @citymississauga , provided data that neither supports a ban (less than 1% complaints) nor aligns with your autocratic proposal.
