On August 9th, Oakville witnessed a powerful display of faith, unity, and spiritual celebration as the Hindu Canadian Foundation successfully hosted its seventh annual Kawad Yatra. This sacred tradition, now seven years strong, continues to bring the Hindu community together in reverence of Bhagwan Shiv during the auspicious Shravan Month.

"It’s Not the Swastika — Why Toronto Star Must Use 'Hakenkreuz' When Referring to the Nazi Symbol"
It is deeply concerning to see the sacred Hindu symbol “Swastika” mischaracterized. The Swastika, revered by approximately 1.5 billion Hindus worldwide including over 1.5 million in Canada, is a symbol of peace and well-being with thousands of years of cultural significance. Rising Hinduphobia: Toronto Rath Yatra targeted with Hindu Hate, Eggs Thrown on Devotees & Rath, Act now Canada A Call for Justice and Community Safety
The Hindu Canadian Foundation strongly condemns this hateful incident targeting Hindu Canadians. This act is a disturbing example of rising Hinduphobia in our society. We urge @TorontoPolice to take swift and decisive action to investigate and bring those responsible to justice.
