United Against Tyranny: Veer Bal Diwas Inspires Action for Modern Day Atrocities

Brampton, ON, Canada Dec 27 2025: On the occasion of #VeerBalDiwas, the Hindu Canadian Foundation pays tribute to the unparalleled courage and sacrifice of Chhote Sahibzade Baba Zorawar Singh Ji and Baba Fateh Singh Ji. At the tender ages of 9 and 6, these young warriors chose martyrdom over surrendering their faith and Dharma, standing resolute against the brutal attempts at forced conversion by Islamic tyrannical rulers. Their supreme sacrifice in defense of righteousness and religious freedom continues to inspire generations, reminding us of the eternal values of resilience, truth, and unwavering commitment to Dharma. In today's world, we must draw lessons from history and unite against all forms of oppression, religious persecution, and violence targeting innocent communities.
This is a profoundly challenging time for religious minorities in Bangladesh, including Hindus, Sikhs, Christians, and others, who are enduring targeted atrocities and threats to their safety and places of worship. The Hindu Canadian Foundation calls upon global leaders, governments, and civil society to speak out boldly and take decisive action against these forces of intolerance that echo the injustices of the past and persist today.
